“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” is one of the most quoted lines Jesus ever spoke. But many people quote it like a poster, not like a lifeline.
In Matthew 6, Jesus is not giving a random motivational sentence. He is speaking into a specific battle the human heart keeps fighting:
The battle to feel safe.
And Jesus exposes the core problem:
Anxiety is not only about circumstances.
Anxiety is often about kingship.
